ABOUT THE ARTISTS

THE GREGORY KUNDE CHORALE is comprised of adult singers from the Rochester area, who share a love of music and the desire to bring chamber music performance to the community. The group began rehearsing together in June of 1999 and have made a commitment to continue as Rochester's premier chamber choir. With conductor Gregory Kunde, the chorale plans to explore a variety of music, while focusing on the beauty and intimacy of the chamber style.

1999 proved to be a successful season for the group. The chorale's first concert featured Handel's Messiah and seasonal carols. Encouraged by the warm response from the Rochester public, the GREGORY KUNDE CHORALE began to prepare for its second season, and since that time, has enjoyed an enthusiastic following.

The chorale has appeared in concert at Rochester's Sacred Heart Cathedral, Blessed Sacrament Church, the Memorial Art Gallery, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, Our Lady of Mercy High School, Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church, as well as many local events in the Rochester area.
